Glarry GP Electric Bass Review
The material of fretboard is rosewood, which ensure your tone stability and smooth. With 1 split single-coil pickup and 1 single pickup, 2 volume knobs and 2 tone knobs, you can play a variety of music styles from blues to rock in roll.. There were mixed reviews on how the bass feels.
It’s extremely well put together, plays like a much higher quality guitar and sounds pretty good to boot. I will definitely be picking up one of their jazz basses soon to do some modding with . I now have a super playable and excellent-sounding bass guitar which is great to look at, comfortable, light and CHEAP! I definitely recommend that you buy one if you’re confident with doing setups or just want to have a play around – even for the painted body alone you can’t say fairer than the price. Others have pointed out how these basses could be the ideal testbed for modifying, but personally I think it’s just great fun playing such a cheap and cheerful instrument. After tuning up I decided to have a quick play to see how it felt ‘out of the box’, which is how many beginner players would use the bass.
This bass sounds great I’m very happy with this bass. This is a very comfortable bass to play for me. I have large hands, and the neck on this bass fits my left hand perfectly.
I don’t remember ever thinking about action or truss rods when I started playing; it wasn’t until much later that I started to tinker and get any bass playing better. The trouble is how the player would know that their instrument can do better. Two single coil pickups control the neck and bridge. With 2 volume knobs and 1 tone knob, you can fully control the sound of the instrument and play modern music ideally.
The rosewood fretboard is nice and the frets are smooth with no sharp edges. Nowhere on the outside of the bass is there a serial number or even a country of origin, and there is no brand at all on the Fender-copy head, which I prefer to some hokey off-brand label. I will probably stain the head to give it some color.
I ordered the bass late on October 29, and it is not Prime, so shipping was listed as free, but not 2 days. I was told I’d receive it “”between Nov. 5 and Nov. 12.”” I actually received it November 1! The 4-string saddle bridge is a classic and simple design, not only stable and durable, but also easy to adjust, and provides good resonance for the strings.
If you just want to play the bass, it’d probably wiser to save and spend a bit more. To be fair, you can’t possibly expect great quality at that price… I’d have to see a few to say how well setup they generally arrive (and other reviews seem fairly positive and not as picky as me with action/relief) so hard to say really. I restrung the bass with Ernie Ball Cobalt Flatwound strings, 0.040 size, which instantly made it feel better and reigned in some of the uneven response from the round wounds.

After a small amount of tweeking and adjusting it is great. Lowered The Bridge, strings were a little high off the fret board but after lowering them to taste everything was fine. Looking to try one of the keyboards next as I am a keyboardist also.
The pickups will come out of the box and will be not properly mounted in the covers, which implies that you might need to disconnect and reinstall the strings. And you might need to pickguard into their covers and the frame. We wanted to mention that point in our Glarry Bass Guitar review.
